Acer T272HL Touch Screen Widescreen Monitor
If you have a Windows 10 operating system on your computer, don’t expect to enjoy the touch screen functionality of the Acer T272HL. For reasons that only Acer engineers are privy of, the T-series of Touch Screen Widescreen monitors only work on the Windows 8 platform. Acer provides a solution, however. Windows 10 users can now use the T-series’ touchscreen functionality, but only after making substantial updates in the drivers and the addition of cables. With future updates, this process may no longer be necessary.
All is not lost with the T-series. It still features Full HD resolution that promises to deliver more stunning visuals, deeper colors, and more exciting contrasts. For its price, however, you should already expect that its native 1920 x 1080 resolution to sport WQHD IPS specs of 2560 x 1440. The T-series still provides commendable resolution, nonetheless. It may not be the best in the market, but it should do.
Marketing literature says that the T-series comes with an edge-to-edge widescreen display. This may look like so if the monitor is not turned on. It comes with a wide-enough black bezel that is not recognizable if the monitor is off. Turn it on and you’ll notice the wide bezels surrounding the T-series. What is remarkable is the transparent bottom section of the T-series, it produces a floating effect. Now that is something.
For PC owners using the Windows 8 platform, the T-series is a joy to operate. It is responsive enough to allow for more immersive multi-point screen interactions. Play your favorite games swiping on the screen or flick the pages of an e-book as you would an e-book reader. It also has HDMI and VGA inputs. You can connect it to your tablet or smartphone and turn the Acer into an extension of your mobile device.
