Catolet Litter Box
Owning a pet has its own perks (and a lot actually). But let’s admit that it has its irritating parts too. Case in point, when they go number two in places we told them not to.
Sure you can train them to use the toilet or the litter box, but who’s gonna throw or flush that out when no one is around? The pet feeder can’t do that.
That is what Catolet, a Kickstarter project, wants to answer. No one is gonna do it for them when we’re away, so why not get a litter box that automatically flushes and washes so you can come home to a clean litter box every time?
How does it work?
Catolet is composed of several parts but mainly these are the conveyor system, the water supply and sewage system, sensors, indicators, and power button.
You have to install the water supply and sewage system first using the hose that comes with the kit. You may attach it to the nearest toilet bowl and faucet or the water and sewage system in your toilet.
The tape in the conveyor system lets all liquid through. This means your pet’s paws won’t be wet after they sit on it.
Solid wastes, however, will be flushed after the sensor senses your pet has left the litter box. The conveyor tape will roll until the waste reaches the shredder where it will be shredded and pumped out.
Training your pets
It may take some time for your pets to get used to an automatic litter box, so the makers are including an optional adaption system that’s good for 2-21 days.
For extra $20, you may also get the shelter to help your pets feel secured.
Door stops are also included so your pets may go in and out of the toilet by themselves.
Catolet advantage
There are other similar items to Catolet, but usually, they require reusable filler which you may have to clean manually after some time. Also, they may leave bad odors. Catolet, however, promises to be fully automatic. No cleaning required while keeping it odor-free.
