This plant kit comes with items you need to cultivate the vegetable: five pots for growing, five peat blocks and five markers for each veg. The kit also contains separate packs of stripy tomatoes, purple carrots, golden zucchini, rainbow chard and red Brussel sprouts.
This is a colorful brunch and it will indeed look lovely on your garden in case you’ve grown these babies successfully. To keep the seeds fresh, the seeds are kept in foil sachets. The kit includes a sufficient amount of seeds to grow many plants.
The kit already comes with instructions on how to plant all seeds. While according to the company, the seeds for the kit are not organic, they are not treated and completely free from GMO. The colors of the products are naturally-occurring as well.
The seeds proved to grow fast. They have a high rate for germination. However, its instructions need more detail. You have to do more Googling in order to verify that you did right on those steps. For instance, the pamphlet did not discuss the amount of seeds you need to put on each pot. It did not explain why some of the plants need to be transferred on polyurethane/polyethylene bags, too. Apparently, this is done to provide a greenhouse-like environment for the plant and allow them to mature at a faster rate.
This is a gardening project that needs constant attention. If you don’t mind that, this Funky Veg Kit actually makes for a nice purchase. It provides not only taste and vitamins, but an aesthetic touch to your backyard.
