Arozzi Arena Gaming Desk
GTracing Gaming Desk
Eureka E1 Racer Gaming Desk
The gaming desk is a hybrid creature that’s part traditional office desk and part high tech table. They provide the room a gamer needs to stretch out, the ability to manage the myriad cables that are a pervasive part of the gaming landscape and rock solid stability. The gaming desk isn’t going to endow you with magical gaming abilities but the best computer gaming desk will enable you to make the most of the talents you do have. Some have telescoping legs that allow you to switch from sitting to standing, others are large enough to accommodate multiple full-size monitors, while still others have carbon fiber surfaces that are light and tough and always cool under pressure. Below is our list of the best gaming desks for 2019.
The Best Gaming Desk
1Arozzi Arena Gaming Desk
The Arena from Arozzi was designed with input from gamers and it shows. This is a minimalist gaming desk that keeps the focus where it should be but doesn’t let you down in key areas. There are 3 cutouts in the desk that allow you to discreetly hide cables and keep them out of your hair. There are no annoying cross bars for your feet to get tangled with and the surface is large enough to easily accommodate all three of your big gaming monitors. That surface also cleans up with just a wipe from a damp cloth. The front edge of the desk features a subtle contouring that lets you push in a bit and provides plenty of peripheral space for things like drinks, your cell phone, magazines or whatever. The arena is over 5 feet wide and nearly 3 feet deep. Which is bigger than a lot of other gaming desks. But it’s ease of assembly, wide open spaces, innovative cable control system and attractive price make it our Best Choice.
Minimalist design.
Easy assembly.
Contoured top maximizes space.
Accommodates 3 large monitors.
Available in 5 different colors.
Weight: 85 lbs.
- BrandArozzi

The ultra-discreet way it hides your cables is worth the price of admission.
The huge 14 square foot mousepad is fully machine washable.
No crossbeams under the desk to get in the way of the gaming PC or your feet.
We’d have to nitpick to find fault, but we’ll say the lack of vertical adjustment.
2IDÅSEN Gaming Desk
IKEA have been pioneers in contemporary furniture design for decades, so it’s fair to say the modern, minimalist ethos is in their blood. The IDÅSEN is a perfect example of the IKEA design system in action. No frills of any kind, yet somehow it manages to fulfill all your needs and expectations. It can be adjusted to any height between 24 inches and 50 inches, so you can conceivably use it as a stand-up gaming desk. That adjustment can also be performed by way of the accompanying smartphone app. Which is nifty, but of questionable real-world value when you can just push a button on the table to do the same thing. That aside, the surface is tough and cleans up with just a damp cloth like any good PC gaming desk should and the 10-year warranty is going to attract a lot of attention.

Be ever mindful of the supports when you stand up.
3COUCHMASTER Cycon Gaming Deas, Black Edition
Until now there’s never really been an effective way to game while kicking back on the couch. But the Couchmaster is here to put an end to that unhappy situation. It provides lag-free connectivity to your PC via the 16 ft USB 3.0 extension cable. It also has mesh pockets to hold your drink, cell phone, and other items and it does a good job of keeping any cables out of your way. The Couchmaster is also extremely light at less than 10 lbs and it provides plenty of room for you to move around underneath it so you don’t feel like a prisoner of gaming. The surface cleans up in a jiffy and the faux leather pontoons are handsome enough to stand up to scrutiny.
4 high speed USB 3.0 ports.
Internal compartments to accommodate cables.
Connect lag-free to your PC.
2 mesh side pockets.

You’ll find yourself using the side pockets for just about everything.
Too big for kids.
4DXRacer DGD/1000/NR Newedge Edition Gaming Desk
We’ll say right up front that we aren’t crazy about the color scheme of the DGD/1000NR. All that red borders on distracting. But there is no arguing that the desk itself does a generally outstanding job of playing host to your gaming efforts. The hybrid surface composed of ABS plastic and wood has a nice solid feel to it that’s lacking in a lot of gaming desks. The steel supports to keep everything stable and the cable management system, at least as it is expressed topside, is the first rate. The raised border is also a nice touch that ensures all your valuables stay where they belong. The screen that masks the wires hanging in the back seems a bit lazy to us, however. Though not everyone will agree.
Outstanding cable management.
Durable steel frame.
Wood and ABS composite surface.
Cleans up in seconds.
Weight: 83 lbs.
- BrandDXRacer
- ModelGD/1000/NR
- Weight83.8 pounds
The desk has a substantial feel to it without actually being too heavy.
It stays put when you’re working those controls to the max.
The aggressive design is going to appeal to a lot of gamers.
The color and the screen mask hanging from the back do not impress.
5Tangkula Gaming Desk, E-Sports Computer Desk
While the gaming surface of the Tangkula Gaming Desk is not as large as some others the desk makes our list because it’s incredibly stable, easy to clean, easy to set up, lightweight and affordable. So if you’re on a budget and you want a desk that’s going to help you get more from your gaming efforts this is a good place to start. If such an affordable desk has a downside it’s that they’ve put very little effort into cable management, opting to simply hang a screen off the back to hide the mess. The design also looks like it was material driven rather than being driven by aesthetics or function. All that said, we’d recommend this as a good starter desk for gaming novices.
Spacious gaming platform.
Adjustable feet.
Cleans up with a damp cloth.
Steel tube framing.
PVC coated gaming surface.
Weight: 57 lbs.
- BrandTangkula
- Weight57.5 pounds
Plenty of room for your monitor and peripherals.
Innovative design keeps the support system out of your way.
Strong enough to handle all your hardware and then some.
Looks a bit cheap.
Assembly can be a challenge.
6Arozzi Arena Leggero Compact Gaming Desk
The Arena is the little brother of the company’s Leggero gaming desk and is ideal for more cramped quarters. It boasts an attractive minimalist design that’s extremely stable along with a machine washable mouse pad. It’s also one of the easiest gaming desks to set up. Although we’re not big fans of nets to catch the cables the cable management system as a whole is well-considered and does an effective job. The desk is light and easy to move around yet it has a carrying capacity north of 140 pounds. All in all a simple but effective gaming computer desk with little downside.

7GTRACING Gaming Desk Racing Computer Gaming Table
The GTRacing Gaming Desk is light, stable, attractive and has a water resistant, easy to clean surface that provides ample space for mid-sized gaming setups. The stability is born of the steel support structure which is more than tough enough to handle all your hardware. With a gaming surface this size we would have been happy if they ditched the fancy baffles and opened up a bit more room. But that’s a minor quibble. Another minor quibble would be the horizontal bar running between the supports that can get in your way a bit if you have long legs. For the price though you can’t be too picky.
Mid-sized gaming surface.
Durable metal frame.
Anti-skid protector pads.
Raised border.
Weight: 57 lbs.
- BrandGTRACING
An all black gaming desk that looks cool as hell.
For the price, it’s hard to beat both aesthetically and practically.
Surprisingly high-quality materials all around.
The border looks great but gobbles up real estate.
8RESPAWN 3000 Computer Ergonomic Height Adjustable Gaming Desk
If you tire of sitting while doing battle the Respawn 3000 allows you to raise the surface to 44 inches and pick up the fight from a standing position. Most everything associated with the design here is intended to improve/optimize ergonomics and for the most part, those efforts are successful. While the profile of the 3000 at first glance seems a bit busy once you get it set up the logic of it becomes apparent. You are certain to find just the right set up to match your physiology, which is a huge plus in any gaming desk. But because nothing is perfect you’re also likely to be left scratching your head over the pointless red metal accents.

Gaming Desk Buying Guide & FAQ
Types of Gaming Desks
Standing desks - Standing while gaming might seem counterintuitive, and to a degree it is, but with the perils of sitting for extended periods of time well-documented there is at least one good reason to consider a standing gaming computer desk. Beyond just the health factor though people who have tried standing gaming desks almost all comment that they feel more involved in the game when standing. Whereas when sitting their focus sometimes drifts off. Many claim their scores improve when the stand although there haven’t been any studies (yet) to prove or disprove that claim.
Sitting desks - While there are no doubt a lot of concerns when it comes to sitting for hours at a stretch there is still a case to be made for sitting while gaming. First of all, most people would agree that sitting is more comfortable. If you’re more comfortable you’re able to relax, which is so important when you’re trying to concentrate on the action in front of you. Sitting desks also typically do a great job with managing power cords. And while standing desks have their upside, have you ever tried standing in one spot for 3 or 4 hours straight?
Corner - When someone buys a corner gaming desk it’s usually because they have a specific need for one. Their space is cramped and the only logical place to put a desk is in the corner. That said, there are a fair amount of corner desk aficionados out there who chose the corner gaming desk solely because it tends to put more desktop real estate within arm’s reach because the sides angle in towards you as you sit.
Gaming Desk Features
Build Quality - The gaming desk is going to hold as many as 3 large monitors, speakers, keyboard, mouse, controller, drinks and maybe your gaming computer as well. A gaming desk is also going to be subjected to a kind of physical abuse a standard desk will never have to face. As such you want your PC gaming desk to be built to last. You’ll want to see steel, ABS plastic, PVC or even carbon fiber and you want the surface to be stain resistant and clean up with just a wipe from a damp cloth.
Warranty - Most of the best gaming desks will come with a limited warranty on materials and workmanship of anywhere from 30 days to a year. A precious few like the Respawn 3000 will provide a long term warranty. Warranty information can sometimes be hard to come to buy but don’t just assume your desk is covered long-term. Also, be careful who you purchase from because some warranties are not valid unless purchased from an authorized reseller.
Assembly - Not everyone is thrilled about the prospect of building things or using hand tools. If that’s you you’ll want to find a desk that can be assembled quickly and with minimal effort. Some desks are definitely easier to assemble than others so this is one case where it might be worth it to peruse the customer reviews to see whether people are complaining about a particular desk being hard to assemble.
What’s under the hood - Okay so there’s no hood on a gaming desk but you still need to be concerned about how the space under the desk is handled. You need leg room. You need room for your gaming computer (which will typically be larger than a standard PC). You need to make sure any and all cables are not going to get tangled with your legs and feet. You also want to be able to roll your chair up to the desk to work in close if necessary.
Size - Some gamers want everything wrapped up in a nice tidy little area where everything from the volume knob on the speakers to the cup holder to the rack holding the headset are within reach from where they’re sitting. Other gamers like real estate. Lots of it. They look for a desk they can get lost in. Some want their desk to wrap around both sides so they can use it for gaming, work, school and more without having to do anything more than swivel in the chair.
Internal cable management - Loose cables are the bane of the gamer’s existence so you want to be sure your gaming desk does an effective job keeping any cables out of the way. Cable management isn’t always at the forefront of people’s minds when they purchase a desk. Instead, it rears its ugly head once the desk is set up and their foot snags on the monitor cable and yanks it out. Look into how the desk handles cables before you spend your money.
Drink holders - It’s important to remain properly hydrated while gaming but few gamers want to put their drink on the desk where it could get knocked over. Unfortunately, you’re not going to find a lot of gaming desks that come with built-in cup holders. The good news is that clip-on cup holders are widely available for pretty short money and install in seconds.
Gaming Desk FAQs
Q: What is a gaming desk?
A: A gaming is a desk designed specifically to serve the needs of the hardcore gamer. Part office desk, part utility table and part workbench the best gaming desk fulfills all the requirements we just laid out in the “features” section above. Q: What are the benefits of gaming desks?
A: The best gaming desks provide a range of benefits for players including:
Room to work - Well-designed gaming desks provide efficient ways to organize your equipment so that things stay out of your way. In a nutshell, a great computer gaming table is a highly functional, clutter-free tool that enables your gaming prowess.
Ergonomics - They allow you to reach anything you need without stretching. You’ll never feel like your arms are in an awkward position. Everything on screen is clearly visible from where you’re sitting too.

Q: Do gaming desks improve gaming skill?
A: A gaming desk won’t improve your skill level but what it can, and should, do is allow you to get the most out of the talents you have. Just as the best golfer isn’t going to win many tournaments using a $30 set of clubs they picked up at the big box store, the best gamer needs the kind of equipment that’s going to let their talent flow. The best computer gaming desk will do just that.
Q: What is the best way to sit at a gaming desk?
A: You should always sit up straight at your gaming desk. This not only prevents fatigue but allows for proper blood flow and respiration, two factors in remaining physically and mentally alert. The keyboard and controllers should always be directly in front of you and the keyboard should be at a height that allows your shoulders to be relaxed. Wrists should be extended straight out and not be at an angle all day since that is a surefire way to develop carpal tunnel syndrome.
Q: What is the best material for a gaming desk?
A: The best material for a gaming desk is anyone that is durable and easy to clean. ABS or PVC plastic, glass, and even carbon fiber are good choices. Some gamers go all old-school and choose wood. Although wood comes with maintenance considerations that might make it a less than ideal choice. Support stands fashioned from steel or high-grade aluminum are good choices because they’ll stand up to the pounding gamers often dish out.
