EdgeStar KC2000 Full Size Kegerator
SPT BD-0538 Mini Kegerator & Dispenser
Kegco K309SS-1 Keg Dispenser
Life’s too short to drink bad beer. If you’re serious about drinking beer, you need a kegerator. These amazing appliances keep beer kegs at the perfect temperature so you can pour yourself a cold one, whenever you want. Here are the best kegerators on the market.
The Best Kegerator
1EdgeStar KC2000 Full Size Kegerator
The EdgeStar KC2000 is one of the cheapest kegerators on the market that can house a full-size US keg. That means it’s got the capacity to be used in a commercial or residential setting, but it’s not going to break the bank. It’s possible to find cheaper products still but this kegerator is far superior. EdgeStar makes a whole range of kegerators and the KC2000 sits somewhere in the middle of the range. To sum it up, we’d say it’s a no-frills kegerator – it doesn’t have a digital thermostat, dual taps, or any other features you’d find on a premium kegerator, but it still does the same basic job.
Most importantly, it has a powerful cooler that can keep the beer as cold as 34ºF (1.1ºC). You’d never serve beer that cold, but it’s good to know it can achieve the desired temperature easily. The other thing we like about the EdgeStar KC2000 is the slimline design – it doesn’t take up too much space in your home but still has space for an internal CO2 tank. If you’re buying your first full-size keg for the home, you won’t find a better deal than the EdgeStar KC2000.

2EdgeStar KC3000SS Full Size Kegerator
If the EdgeStar KC2000 wasn’t quite up to scratch, why not opt for its big brother – the EdgeStar KC3000SS. The main differences between the two are the size and the digital display. This kegerator is around four inches wider than the KC2000, which doesn’t sound like much but it’s pretty significant. The extra width allows this kegerator to house oversized bevel-edged kegs. Plus, it can hold every other size of kegs, including an internal CO2 canister, so the kegerator looks clean in your home.
The digital display isn’t the most exciting feature, but it’s still useful. At a glance, you can easily see what temperature the beer is at. It’s really up to you to decide if the size and this display are worth the extra cost. The only other notable difference is that it’s mounted on casters and has an external tank mount. These simple features allow you to move the kegerator easily around your home and maximize the internal space. This is definitely one of the best kegerators for home use.

3EdgeStar BR2001BL Ultra Low Temp Kegerator
Edgestar is a specialty appliance manufacturer – they make kegerators, wine-coolers, and much more. The EdgeStar BR2001BL is basically a refrigerator that is ready to be converted into a kegerator. Its specs are really similar to the EdgeStar KC2000 – it can cool down to around 30ºF, can fit full-sized kegs, and has a simple temperature dial inside. The difference is that it doesn’t have a faucet attached. At the top of the refrigerator, there’s a hole that fits any standard-sized faucet (tap). The great thing about buying a conversion-unit like this is that you can choose your own faucet or just turn it into a standard fridge with the included tower hole cap.
One of the downsides of this kegerator is the way it looks. Despite being considerably more expensive than a standard fridge, it doesn’t look like it costs over $300. Because of that, we wouldn’t recommend it if you’re buying it for your home. It’s the perfect kegerator if you’re going to hide it behind a bar. Some Amazon customers have bought this kegerator as a fermentation chamber for brewing purposes. It’s perfect if you’re just getting into brewing because you can easily turn it into a kegerator when the beer’s ready. An ideal gift for beer lovers.
Dimensions – H- 25.7″ x W 20.2″ x D 35.1″
Temperature range – Low 30ºF – mid 40ºF
No faucet included
Fits a full-size standard keg

Cheap option to turn into a kegerator
Great if you own a faucet already
Good temperature range
Too expensive if you’re not going to convert it
4SPT BD-0538 Mini Kegerator & Dispenser
Not everyone needs a full-size kegerator. Even when kept at the perfect temperature, the beer in a keg will go ‘bad’ after a few months (every beer goes off at different speeds). So, you’ll have to be drinking pretty regularly to get through it all in time. If you’re more of the casual beer drinker, the SPT BD-0538 Mini Kegerator & Dispenser is the perfect appliance for you. It’s small enough to sit on your kitchen counter and can hold standard 5-liter kegs.
It works in a slightly different way to a full-size kegerator. To provide pressure you use CO2 cartridges (three are included) and it cools beer down using thermoelectric cooling technology, which means that less energy is wasted keeping your mini keg at the right temperature. It has a small LED temperature display and simple controls to change the temperature. This is our favorite tabletop kegerator. The stainless steel housing looks fantastic, it’s super easy to use, and it provides frothy and delicious beer every time. If you’re not a big drinker, save yourself some money and buy the SPT BD-0538 Mini Kegerator & Dispenser.

5Kegco K309SS-1 Kegerator Dispenser
If you want to spend a bit more money on your kegerator, the Kegco K309SS-1 Keg Dispenser is our Premium Pick. It costs around $200 more than the most expensive EdgeStar kegerator on this list, but that money is well spent. One of the reasons we think the extra money is worth it is the way it looks – from the sleek stainless-steel body to the polished faucet, this is a kegerator you’d be happy to have in your home.
It has a digital temperature control function on the front of the fridge. This makes it super easy to adjust the temperature without having to reach into the fridge. Inside the fridge, there’s ample space for any full-sized key or a couple of smaller ones. One of the big reasons for buying a Kegco K309SS-2 Kegerator is the fan-forced cooling. This system gives this kegerator one of the biggest temperature ranges of any kegerator on the market. It can reach low temperatures (32ºF) for serving as well as higher temperatures (up to 75ºF) for the fermentation process. This makes the Kegco K309SS-2 Kegerator the ideal choice for serious homebrewers. To keep your beer cool wherever you go, check out our guide to the best coolers for camping.

6Kegco HBK209S-2 Keg Dispenser
If you’re not into home-brewing, the Kegco HBK209S-2 Keg Dispenser is more suited to your needs. It doesn’t have the same wide temperature range as the Kegco K309SS-2, so it’s not suitable for brewing your own beer at home. The temperature range on this model is 35ºF – 42ºF. The main benefit of buying this model – except for saving $100 – is that it comes with two faucets instead of one. Inside the fridge, there’s space for two five-gallon D system kegs. That means you can hook up a separate beer to each faucet and have your own bar at home. Of course, using all that space up inside means that you’ll need to mount the CO2 canister on the outside, but that’s easy thanks to the external tank mount.
Like all Kegco Kegerators, it comes with a set of premium features to make your life easy. For example, it has a recessed drip tray with a dishwasher-safe plastic tray, the faucet is made from premium stainless steel, and it comes with a comprehensive kegerator kit. We also love the fact that you can easily convert it to a refrigerator. It’s hard to choose between this kegerator and the best EdgeWare kegerators. All we can say is that you won’t be disappointed.

7KUPPET Kegerator& Draft Beer Dispenser
This Kegerator from KUPPET is a great budget option if you don’t want to splash out on one of the more expensive models. They’re not always available on Amazon because they sell out pretty fast, so you have to keep an eye out for one. One of the reasons it’s cheaper than its competitors is the size. At just 21.3-inches wide, it only really has space for US standard 1/6 and 1/4 kegs. If you’re looking for a kegerator with the capacity for full-sized kegs, choose one of the bigger kegerators on this list.
On the plus side, this kegerator has an interior mount for the CO2 canister. That makes it look tidy when it’s under the bar or in your kitchen. The temperature is controlled with a small dial on the inside of the fridge. It’s not the easiest dial to reach but the lack of a digital temperature gauge makes the product cheaper. It also comes with easy-rolling casters, so you can move it around without putting your back out. This isn’t the best kegerator on this list, but it’s great value if you want a nice draft beer at home. Be sure to also check out these top beer koozies and pick the right one.

Internal CO2 mount

8COSTWAY Full Size Kegerator
This COSTWAY kegerator is slightly wider than the KUPPET kegerator, which gives it a total of 6.1 cubic feet (170-liters) of space. You can easily fit in the quarter, sixth, half and slim quarter kegs. That extra space does make it more expensive and puts it into competition with the more expensive EdgeStar and Kegco products. So, the question is, can it compete with the more established brands.
One of the things we like about this kegerator is the interior CO2 canister mount. A lot of kegerators have exterior mounts, which can look messy and take up a lot more space. It also has some useful features like easy-rolling casters, an easy-to-reach temperature dial, and detachable beverage dividers. COSTWAY has also made it easy to transform it into a simple beer fridge. All you have to do is remove the faucet, replace it with the included cap, and it’s ready to go. So, if you can’t get your hands on a keg, you can just fill it with bottles. That way, you never have to be without beer.
