There are a few design changes that are subtle enough to give the Mini Metro a more refreshing look. This is without affecting its full functionality in an adverse manner. For starters, Chrome thinks that there should be less Velcro closures on the Mini than on the classic Metro. It is still a very secure bag.
Inside the 20.5-liter Mini Metro is a spacious compartment that can accommodate a 17-inch gaming laptop. Because of its size, one can pack a pair of sneakers plus a couple of clothes without much of a fuss. You can keep books, wallets, keys, and what have you inside the Mini Metro and be on your way. It doesn’t come with individual compartments for organizational purposes, however.
One notable feature of the Mini Metro is its strap design. It doesn’t matter if one is left- or right-handed. You can sling the bag on either side of your body. It also features a load stabilizer if you wear the bag across the chest. The straps feature seatbelt webbing complete with the seatbelt-style release. It’s comfortable on the shoulders as the straps come with adequate padding. The seatbelt-style release also doubles as a handy bottle opener.
Protecting the compartment is a top flap cover. Lining the inside is an 18 oz truck tarp. Forming the outer shell of the Mini Metro is a 1000-denier Cordura fabric that also gives the Mini Metro excellent weatherproofing. There’s also a tarp liner that protects the seams of the Mini Metro against the elements.
