Hewlett Packard’s Envy Curved All-in-One PC is a rugged workstation that boasts of an arresting design. With performance and power that’s geared for the most demanding tasks, the Envy Curved is every digital warrior’s dream platform. Not only does it boast of more sensorial experiences, but gaming on the new Envy is also more immersive, too.
The first thing you’ll notice is the stunning 34-inch curved display. The screen comes with 3440×1440 QHD resolution, offering vivid and lifelike colors. The ultra-wide orientation of the display gives it the illusion of having two conventional 4:3 computer screens on a side-by-side configuration.
Delivering amazing graphics is NVidia’s GeForce GTX 1050, boasting of 4 gigabytes of dedicated GDDR5 memory. This is in addition to the graphics processing performance embedded in the latest Intel Core i7 processor. The Envy All-in-One comes with 6 cores running at 2.4 GHz, featuring the i7’s 8700T variant. The CPU is capable of throttling its speeds up to 4.0 GHz to give you uncompromising performance to complete your tasks. It may lag behind the industry-leading Intel Core i7-8700K, but the difference is not that much.
There are 2 DIMM slots in the Envy Curved, capable of sitting two 8 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM modules. The main storage is a 256 GB NVMe M.2 SSD with a secondary storage option of 2 TB SATA running at 5400 RPM.
If there is only one downer to this gaming monitor, then that would be the OS that it’s bundled with. While an original version of Windows 10 64-bit is welcome news, it only comes with W10 Home preinstalled. This limits the true power of the all-in-one desktop computer. However, you can always upgrade to the Windows 10 Pro if you wish.
